Campground and Reflections of Night Sky

Picture taken at the Pinnacles looking south over the campground. Star reflections in the small pond are visible.  Looking forward to getting a shot of this later in the year, with the Milky Way reflecting from the pond. Taken with a Canon 550D, Tonika 11-16mm wide angle lens, 16mm, ISO 1600, 30 sec exposure, f 2.8.

Reflections on a Night Stand

I woke at 2 AM, and looked at the hotel nightstand for the alarm clock, and saw this. The yellow alarm clock face reflected through a bottle of water. Taken with a Lumix, 15 sec exposure. Good night!

Fly-Over, Great Salt Lake shoreline

The Great Salt Lake seems to change each time I fly over. But, a nice display of shapes and colors.

Full Moon Reflection - Yellow Cliffs

The full moon was so bright that it reflected light from the Yellow Cliffs, no flashlight required for a walk at 10 PM.  In the background is the Big Dipper, the North Star, and Cassiopeia. Picture taken with a Sony a500 DSLR and Sigma wide-angle lens.

Bonneville Salt Flats Reflection

Catching a good reflection in the Bonneville Salt Flats seems to be a random event. My family and I have driven by, with a recent rain or snow storm, and no reflection; or it can be totally white from the salt. But in this picture, the reflection was cyrstal clear. Here's the Silver Island Mountain Range reflected from the Bonneville Salt Flats, looking north.
